Alex Slavycz was born in Toronto and raised between Canada & Ecuador.

After moving to New York in 2001, he began his career by assisting notorious fashion stylists Beat Bolliger & Laura Ferrara with whom he had the opportunity to collaborate regularly on projects with photographers such as Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Nathaniel Goldberg, Patrick Demarchelier, Michael Thompson, Greg Kadel & Craig Mc Dean. He assisted in realizing campaigns & editorials for clients such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Movado, YSL Homme, Zara, Victoria’s Secret, Italian, French, Russian, Japanese & Chinese editions of Vogue, Bazaar, V, Another Magazine & ID. Celebrity clients included Naomi Watts, Joaquin Phoenix, Toni Collette, Lauren Hutton & Hilary Swank.

In 2004, Alex decided to branch off on his own. His strong conceptual vision has since then been sought after by clients such as Mandarina Duck, Target, Journal Standard & Prada Fragrance. He has collaborated on projects with photographers such as Alex Cayley, James Houston, Cliff Watts, Richard Phibbs, Magnus Unnar, Derek Kettela, Henrique Gendre, Erik Madigan Heck & Tesh. Alex’s work has been featured in various international editions of Vogue & Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, L’officiel, In Style, Muse & Nomenus Quarterly. Alex Has dressed personalities such as Blake Lively, Chase Crawford, Ed Westwick, Eve, Leighton Meester, Lenny Kravitz, Lucy Liu, Li Zhong Han, Meng Jing Hui, Penn Badgely, Sarah Jessica Parker, Taylor Momsen, Tyra Banks, Xu Jing Lei, Zoe Saldana & Zhang Jing Chu.

In 2007, Alex was appointed Fashion Director of Nomenus Quarterly for which he styled exclusive features for Yohji Yamamoto, Christian Lacroix Couture, Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Alberta Ferretti & Lanvin.

In 2008, Alex moved to China where he currently holds Art & Design Direction consultancies for clients that include Ports 1961, Printemps China Department stores, BMW & Rouge Magazine.
